As well as being Amy’s sister, Laura’s critical role is making sure everything runs smoothly at Amy Applebaum Inc. It’s no surprise that Laura organizes everything with energy and attention to detail. She has over 10 years experience managing projects in the LA music and entertainment industry! She always knew that she enjoyed creating order and calm in fast paced environments, but she finally realized that she got the biggest buzz working with positive, determined and inspirational people.

As a result it took only moments before deciding to join her sister and help bring to life Amy’s vision to inspire women and female entrepreneurs across the globe. Before joining her sister Amy, Leslie had built up more than a decade of experience in sales, marketing, training and communication. Her determination, persistence and sensitivity made her a formidable force when creating and nurturing business relationships within the corporate arena. From making over 100 sales calls a day, to hiring, training and motivating her own team, she consistently boosted business for a variety of industries from telecoms, vehicle rental and property maintenance. While Leslie loved the buzz of corporate business relationship building, she felt she was missing something that would release a bigger passion for her work.

That missing something was helping others. Dimple Thakkar – Owner & Impresario, SYNHERGY ENTERTAINMENT

Dimple Thakkar began her career at a social media agency in New York as the Executive Director of Promotions.  While there, she supervised marketing campaigns for top brands, influential Web 2.0 companies, and over 50 artists which included clients such as G-UNIT, 50 Cent, Kanye West, and Britney Spears.  Dimple also worked in the talent management division within the same company as the Vice President of New Media and Online Marketing.  She served as part of the management team for Grammy-nominated rock band Mudvayne, HELLYEAH, and Krista.

Laurel Kaufman – Founder, Elevate My Brand

Laurel Kaufman has built a career that blends her deep personal passion for food, wine and lifestyle with considerable business acumen and legal expertise. Her love of food and wine began during college in Santa Barbara, pouring wines and producing events for Geisinger Winery. After graduating, Laurel moved east to attend Rutgers University, where she received both her J.D. and M.B.A.

While East, Laurel worked with the D.A.’s office as well as in Entertainment Law for Elam Reavis.  Laurel concurrently did marketing for the Public House Group, and produced special events for the five-star Michelin rated restaurant, Le Bec Fin.  Upon returning to Los Angeles, Laurel was Executive VP and In-House Counsel for Bassett, a national retail brand, and subsequently began consulting for beauty, fashion, hospitality and entertainment companies founding AK Consulting Group in 2007.  Laurel continues to consult with creatives, focusing on restaurants and retailers.
