Happy Thanksgiving, Entrepreneur Style!

I don’t know about you, but Thanksgiving has to be one of my favorite times of the year. I love turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce – and, yes, green bean casserole! I love hanging out with my family and my friends and thinking about all the reasons I love and appreciate them.

But, in addition to my friends and family, being an entrepreneur has me thinking about many others I am thankful for – people like:  my staff, power partners, clients, coaching club members, vendors…. The people who make it possible for me to get up everyday and do what I love!!

But I’ve decided NOT to stop at just “being thankful” for them. I like to take it a step further by reminding them of how much they have made my life and business better. I invite you to take it a step further too if you want to put a spin on your traditional “thank you’s.”  Here are some of the things that I do.

  • My power partners: You might recall a couple months ago that we talked about what power partners are and how we team up with these people to share clientele and give one another referrals. If you have a power partner in your life that has made a difference, why not call them up and tell them? You might even go so far as to give them a gift certificate so they can experience your services as well. Who knows, maybe what you offer is just what they need!
  • My clients and coaching students: Obviously, I wouldn’t be the woman I am right now without my clients and the women I help every day. The same goes for you and your customers or client base. This Thanksgiving, think about giving out gift cards, freebies, or certificates offering a percentage off your services as a small thank-you to your customers.

You might think this is just too much to work into your already busy schedule during the holidays, but trust me, it’s worth it.

I tried looking for some type of educational, entrepreneurial video on YouTube as the perfect way to wrap up this post, but then I thought to myself, “Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang!”

So enjoy your holiday season, and be sure to watch the video below! This week’s assignment won’t be complete without it!
