I don’t know about you, but Thanksgiving has to be one of my favorite times of the year. I love turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce – and, yes, green bean casserole! I love hanging out with my family and my friends and thinking about all the reasons I love and appreciate them.
But, in addition to my friends and family, being an entrepreneur has me thinking about many others I am thankful for – people like: my staff, power partners, clients, coaching club members, vendors…. The people who make it possible for me to get up everyday and do what I love!!
But I’ve decided NOT to stop at just “being thankful” for them. I like to take it a step further by reminding them of how much they have made my life and business better. I invite you to take it a step further too if you want to put a spin on your traditional “thank you’s.” Here are some of the things that I do.
- My power partners: You might recall a couple months ago that we talked about what power partners are and how we team up with these people to share clientele and give one another referrals. If you have a power partner in your life that has made a difference, why not call them up and tell them? You might even go so far as to give them a gift certificate so they can experience your services as well. Who knows, maybe what you offer is just what they need!
- My clients and coaching students: Obviously, I wouldn’t be the woman I am right now without my clients and the women I help every day. The same goes for you and your customers or client base. This Thanksgiving, think about giving out gift cards, freebies, or certificates offering a percentage off your services as a small thank-you to your customers.
You might think this is just too much to work into your already busy schedule during the holidays, but trust me, it’s worth it.
I tried looking for some type of educational, entrepreneurial video on YouTube as the perfect way to wrap up this post, but then I thought to myself, “Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang!”
So enjoy your holiday season, and be sure to watch the video below! This week’s assignment won’t be complete without it!
To Your Success,
